It's been 20 years since the enactment of the first EU Public Procurement Directives. Over this time, legislative frameworks, complex procedures and strict rules and regulations have arisen.
Morvarid Dorkhan Nilsson, Lawyer & Partner at Baker & McKenzie in Stockholm will be joined by Andrea Sundstrand, Doctor of Law at the University of Stockholm, and Charlotte Trelde, Public Bid & Bid Manager at Elanders Sweden AB, as they discuss the background and purposes of the public procurement legislation and its fundamental principles. In addition, legal remedies that are available for companies that may wish to challenge decisions or claim for damages from contracting authorities and how the public procurement legislation effects businesses today will also be discussed.
